This design is inspired by the “Bakelite Robot” which was produced in 2002, by the artist Nam June Paik and especially designed for the exhibition “The Future is now” at the ‘Stedelijk Museum’ in Amsterdam.

Nam June Paik was fascinated by the robot, and is known as a pioneer of media art.
