STEDELIJK MUSEUM SERIE.                       NAM JUNE PAIK – BAKELITE ROBOT

This jewelry piece is inspired by the “Bakelite Robot” which was produced in 2002 by Nam June Paik.

He was fascinated by the robot, and is known as a pioneer of media art.

He established video as an art medium and gave new dimensions to the visual culture.

The Robot is made of recycled acrylic and the gift box is made of sustainable material.

The jewelry is made of recycled transparant perspex and embellished with gold colored metal.

The earrings and rings are gold-plated, and nickel free.
